Introduction

Make sure you are grounded before starting. To ground yourself, simply touch a metal object that is in contact with the floor for a few seconds.

What you need

  • Unscrew the single 9.8mm screw on the underside of the laptop using a #0 screwdriver.
  • Set the screw and cover plate in a safe space for reassembly later.

  • Pull the two marked tabs to the sides to release the RAM.

Step 3

  • Carefully remove the existing RAM by pulling away from the connector and set it aside.
  • After replacement, remember to re-lock the two white pins to secure the new RAM.
