- Remove the back of the pocket watch by locating the small indent on the side and pushing up on the back until it comes off.
- Set the cover aside so that you can put it back on once you finish.

- Remove the plastic ring around the battery and inner workings of the watch by using a pair of tweezers to grab onto the plastic and lift it out of the watch.
- Set the plastic ring aside and do not dispose of it.

- Take out the battery carefully using the set of tweezers to push on the underside of the battery. With enough pushing, the battery will fall out.
- Set the old battery aside or dispose of it how you please.

- Replace the old battery with a new one by carefully sliding it back into place until it sits flat inside of the watch.

- Reinsert the plastic covering into the pocket watch where it previously was by using the tweezers again until the plastic is also sitting flat in the back of the watch.

- Put the cover of the watch back on by placing it and pushing it down until you hear a small click.

- Pull up on the knob at the top of the watch and twist either left or right to readjust the time.
