Introduction

Regularly changing the filter helps maintain good air quality in the home, especially for those prone to allergies or respiratory issues. It also aids in efficient air circulation and reduces stress on the air conditioning unit. Most filter manufacturers recommend changing the filter every 90 days. Pets or other environmental conditions may require changing the filter more often.

What you need

              Air Conditioning Filter               
  • Turn off the air conditioning unit to prevent debris from entering the system while you change the filter.
  • Place a step ladder below the filter location, if needed.

  • Open the vented cover.

  • Ensure sure you have the right size replacement filter.

  • Remove the current/old air filter.
  • Use the spudger or screwdriver for easier removal (optional).

  • Install the new filter.
  • Place the filter along vent inner ledge.
  • Press the edges into place. The filter should fit snugly.

  • Close the vent cover.
  • Move the latches into the lock position.
  • Turn the air conditioning unit back on.
