              Disconnect the spark plug
  • Grab the plastic housing at the end of the spark plug wire.
  • Pull firmly to disconnect the wire from the spark plug.

  • Twist the fuel valve clockwise into the cutoff position.

              Remove the front panel
  • Remove the five Phillips screws securing the front panel:
  • Two 35 mm screws
  • Two 20 mm screws
  • One 15 mm screw

Step 5

  • Carefully pull the front panel away from the generator in order to access the internal components.
  • Do not attempt to remove the panel—it is still connected by many wires.

  • Use a flathead screwdriver to unclip the green ground wire from its socket.

  • Use a flathead screwdriver to press and release the two plastic tabs securing the AVR module.

              Remove the automatic voltage regulator
  • Carefully slide and remove the automatic voltage regulator out of its recess.
