The headlight will not turn on or off.
Make sure that you have turned the scooter on by holding down the red power button for three seconds located on the display on top of the scooter. If the display screen does not show anything, the scooter is off.
Make sure that you have pressed the button located on the front of the handle of the scooter.
First, check that power is on. Press the button at least twice and observe if the light turns on and off. If the light shows no effect after pressing the light switch, consider replacing the button.
The LED that produces the light may be broken. If this is the case, then consider replacing the LED. You can find a replacement guide here.
If this is the case, then you should consider replacing the battery.
Scooter falls over when left without external support.
You may not have put down the kickstand. Make sure that the kickstand is in a vertical position relative to the ground before letting go of your scooter to support itself.
If the kickstand seems unstable and wobbles when left to support the scooter, consider replacing the pin that connects the kickstand to the platform of the scooter.
If the kickstand will not easily go down, consider applying lubricant to the hinge to pivot the kickstand easily.
If the scooter falls over even when the kickstand is in the proper down position, the kickstand may be broken and not be the appropriate size to support the scooter. If you notice that the kickstand is significantly shorter than the size of a finger, consider replacing the kickstand.
The tire will not rotate at full speed or will not move at all.
Make sure that the device has been turned on by pressing the button for three seconds located on the display on top of the scooter. If the display screen is blank, the scooter is off.
The scooter must be moving first before the motor will start producing power.
Bearings within the wheel allow for the wheel to turn. If they are seized and not turning, the wheel will not spin. To fix this problem, you should consider replacing the bearing held within the tire.
If the sensor located within the throttle is malfunctioning and not responding to input by the rider, then check the wires leading to the sensor to make sure power is going to the sensor.
Examine the wires inside the front tire and make sure that they are receiving power. If they are receiving power but the motor will still not rotate, considering replacing the motor. A replacement guide can be found here.
If this is the case, consider replacing the battery.
The scooter will not slow down or stop when the brake is being engaged.
Examine the brake pad. If the pad is worn down, consider replacing the brake pad.
If the brake pad is not worn out and the brake switch is not slowing down the scooter, consider replacing the switch. This brake switch replacement guide will show you how to replace the switch.
The scooter does not collapse
Make sure the release lever is pulled before trying to fold the scooter.
If the release lever is stuck, make sure there is no debris blocking the action of the lever. If that is not the problem, consider applying lubricant to make the lever easier to pull.
If the folding hinge is stuck, make sure there is no debris blocking the movement of the hinge. If that is not the problem, consider applying lubricant to make the hinge easier to move.
