The hoverboard does not turn on when the power button is pressed.
Some hoverboards automatically turn on when the foot pads are stepped on. To power on the Nomad, ensure you press the power button on the back side of the left footpad and hear the speakers “ping” when turning on.
If the power button is pressed, and the LED on the middle of the Nomad blinks or turns red, the battery is low or dead. Connect the charging cable to the port on the back side of the hoverboard. The LED on the charger will initially light up red and will turn green when the Nomad is fully charged.
If the power LED does not light up, and the speakers do not emit any sound after pressing the power button, the button itself is likely disconnected or damaged. You can follow the Power Button Replacement guide to repair it.
The hoverboard will not charge when plugged into the charger or hold a charge after the hoverboard is unplugged from the charger.
If the charging cable is forced into the charging port on the Nomad, the connector can break. Align the charging cable with the port and ensure the connector goes in without noticeable resistance.
The cable is plugged into the Nomad correctly, but the indicator light on the charger does not light up. Ensure the charger is plugged into a functioning wall outlet and the charging cable is securely inserted into the charging brick.
The battery is disconnected from the circuit board or the battery is failing. You can follow the Battery Replacement guide to repair it.
