The UBCD is a great tool for any technicians or users tool belt to troubleshoot common computer-related issues. However, it’s a burden to carry a CD with you everywhere, which is why making a bootable USB flash drive with UBCD is useful. Below are the steps on how to make a bootable UBCD that boots from a flash drive.

  • Download the latest UBCD ISO from the UBCD website.

  • Download the UUI (Universal USB Installer) from Pendrivelinux.com.

  • Once both files are downloaded, run the USB Installer setup and then run the program to get a window similar to the example below.

  • From the Universal USB Installer window, select “Ultimate Boot CD” as the Linux Distribution. Then, Browse to the location of the ISO, Select the USB drive you want to use, and then click the Create button.

Once the above steps are completed, the USB Installer takes a few minutes to copy the files to the USB flash drive. When it’s complete, you can boot from the USB flash drive.

With most computes, you need to enter the boot menu and select the flash drive to boot from that drive.
