Step 2

Step 3
- The second and third pictures show how the two parts of the cartridge move slightly. Notice the gear wheels.

Step 4
- Remove the screw on either side as shown. Be careful not to let the screw fall in to the mechanism. One did for me and fell on the ink roller. You can see the mark it made on the roller in the third picture. Then remove the plastic catches as shown in the second picture. The two parts now fall apart.

Step 5
- The wiper roller is shown in this picture. I wiped it down with some soft toilet paper.
- The next steps were to reassemble and test the cartridge. Unfortunately, where the screw had been pinched on the print roller made it pick up a lot of ink and the job was ruined.
- If this cartridge is exposed to light for a extended period of time, you may damage the Imaging Drum!

Step 6
- On the other part of the cartridge undo the screw on the right hand side and put aside carefully. Then you can lift the wiper from its seat until you can release it from the tit at the left hand side and remove it. Wipe it down and replace it.
- The second picture shows clearly the mark made by the screw that fell into the mechanism. I used a soft paintbrush to clean the ink roller. There might be better ways.
- To refit the wiper start at the left side and slowly feed it down close to the roller. I used a small screwdriver to help to position it as towards the right side it started to curl up.
