This guide only addresses causes 4 and 5. Before performing the steps in this guide, make sure that the motor is running, the auger is turning, and there is ice in the ice bucket to eliminate the possibility of the first three causes.

- Turn the infrared sensor switch to “off.”
- The sensor light will turn from red to gray.

Step 2
- Remove the ice bucket from the freezer by pressing your right thumb on the button to the right and lifting the ice bucket.

- Defrost the ice bucket and dry it thoroughly with a dish towel.

- Use the blunt end of a tool (e.g., a sharpening steel or the handle of a wooden spoon) to unclog ice from the dispensing chute.
- Be careful to not scratch or otherwise damage the dispensing chute with the tool, as this can lead to interruptions in the dispensing of ice.
- Wipe away any remaining ice with a warm cloth.

- Let the ice bucket cool for 10-15 minutes to cool to its original temperature. This will prevent ice from clogging the dispensing chute once the ice maker is turned on.
- If you chose to preserve the original ice in Step 3, return it to the ice bucket once the ice has cooled.
Return the ice bucket to the freezer.
