              How to Fisher RS-90 fix AC hum               
  • My system emitted a very loud 50 Hz AC hum which made it impossible to hear music
  • It is caused by ground loops which occur if the receiver and the speakers have different ground levels
  • To equalize the ground levels at the back of the receiver is a screw to apply a ground cable. Fix a cable there

  • Plug the other end of the cable into the ground insert of one speaker
  • The hum should disappear
