  • Using the shovel, create an area along the perimeter of the empty section of the driveway to fit the wooden 2x4.
  • Place the 2x4 in this section.
  • Use the hammer to drive the stakes into the ground on the outside of the section and snuggly against the wood to hold in place.

  • Using the leveler, ensure that the top of the wood is approximately level with the remaining concrete from the driveway (optional).

  • Use the shovel to level the ground area where the concrete will be poured.

  • Pour the concrete mix into a wheelbarrow.
  • Using the water hose, wet the unmixed concrete as specified by the concrete mix instructions.
  • Use the hoe to mix the concrete until it is all wet.

  • Pour the mixed concrete into the empty section of the driveway.
  • Use the trowel to smooth and level the new concrete even with the original concrete.
  • Repeat steps 5 and 6 until the hole is fully filled and level.

  • Wait 24 hours (or a period specified by the concrete mix manufacturer) for the concrete to completely dry. Then remove the form.
