- Start by removing all the 0.5 cm screws off the leash with the Phillips #0 screwdriver.

- Using a plastic opening tool, begin to separate the top and bottom of the leash.
- Make sure to press lightly to prevent unwanted marks.
- It is most likely that the brake button will fall out. Place small items to the side to prevent it from being lost or undetected.

Step 4
- Carefully remove the brake mechanism. Inside should be a small spring.
- Remove and replace the spring with a new one.
- When placing the break mechanism back into its place, make sure the spring is positioned right in the middle.

- When the spring is successfully placed, initiate the retraction to it’s original position.
- Make sure the top and the bottom are aligned properly.
- Slowly press the top and the bottom of the leash until it returns to its initial position.
