Introduction
Only use WD-40 that is made specifically for bicycles; regular WD-40 can damage your bicycle chain.
What you need
Step 1
How to Fix a Noisy/Squeaky Bicycle Chain
- Place a piece of cardboard under the bicycle to catch excess cleaner.
- Rotate the foot pedal with your hand slowly, and spray WD-40 bicycle chain cleaner evenly throughout the chain.
- Only use WD-40 that is specifically made for bicycles. Using normal WD-40 can damage your bicycle chain.
- The chemical spray is toxic and very unpleasant to smell. Please use a mask or other means of protection on your face and eyes.

- Drip the WD-40 bicycle lubricant on one spot of the chain and rotate the foot pedal until the whole chain is lubricated.
