Honda Accord AC controller No LED. No AC. No Temp controll.
This is a very widespread problem. Also this Tek has succeded many times.
It seems to be due to corrosion from a rubber spacers glue that is causeing the problem.

Step 2

The controll panel on this ‘01 model just has 2 screws on the bottom. Pull it out working your way up from the bottom.
Remove all plugs. And temp controll knob. On the back are gold screws holding on the black controll board cover. Twist the black LED with the black wires showing, counter clockwise and gently remove the board. Free each corner and lift straight up.

The controll panel on this ‘01 model just has 2 screws on the bottom. Pull it out working your way up from the bottom.

Remove all plugs. And temp controll knob. On the back are gold screws holding on the black controll board cover. Twist the black LED with the black wires showing, counter clockwise and gently remove the board. Free each corner and lift straight up.

Step 3

You should test the plug with a wire and a Volt Ohm meeter. As not to damage the plug. Find the schematic and DYODD. .
I, to speed things up, plugged just the board in and jumped the leeds off the positive side, indicated with a +, of the C1 compasator to the voltage regulator 78dl05 (printed on the regulator its self)
Using electrical tape to hold the C1 end to the board whyle also insulating it from other leeds. Also held the C1 jumper end with my finger during testing. Touched the other end of the jumper to the voltage regulators positive leg (indicated by, + IN).
Useing a long enough jumper to go completely around the board to the front side and touch the large exposed leg.
Its easier and you wont accidently run 12v throught something intended for 5v. If a green LED lights your good to go. By default actually testing the wireing harness tells you their is a fault in the board. And you could test the board under power with a VOM. I just did some research. ( Wish their were more contributions here on iFix)

You will have to cut a couple notches out of the black cover where the wire runs. I dont get to solder much as you can tell. So I backed it up with super glue. Silly, but it works.
If your AC isn’t working and your LEDs dont light up on your air flow buttons. Start at this board. New ones are about $175 and takes an hour if your fast to change out most mechanics would charge 2. This was free and took just over 2hr. I could do it in an hour now.
From the pic above you see you can bypass anything.
