Step 2
- Remove all keycaps that feel stuck or sticky with a keycap puller or similar tool.
- Some keycaps may feel tough to pull off. Ensure that even force is applied to all contact points with the keycap and keycap puller.

Step 3
- Soak a cotton swab in alcohol.
- Potential for device damage: Ensure that the cotton swab is not too damp. Excess alcohol may reach deep inside the keyboard housing, potentially damaging electrical components.

Step 4
- Clean the sides of the switch housing using the cotton swab.
- Typically the surfaces of the switch stem, that come in contact with the housing, build up dirt that leads to keys feeling stuck or sticky. Pay close attention to these areas.

Step 6
- Test the switch frequently by pressing down repeatedly with your finger.
- This will help you gauge how well the alcohol is cleaning dirt build up.

Step 7
- Repeat until all switches have been cleaned and are feeling more responsive when pressed.
- Between cleanings, ensure that the cotton swab remains moist but not too damp.
- Potential for device damage: If a switch does not feel more responsive after two or three cleanings, do not continue to clean. Continued cleaning may result in excess alcohol reaching deep into the housing of the keyboard. This could lead to damaging electrical components.

Step 8
- Return all keycaps to their appropriate place on the keyboard. Pay close attention to the orientation of the letter of the keycap. Ensure that all keycaps are returned facing the correct direction.
- Do not try to force a keycap back on to the switch. Ensure that the back of the keycap is properly aligned with the stem of the switch.

Rosewell’s offering of “mem-chanical” keyboard switches are unique but not immune to dirt/grime build-up. You will find that cleaning the housing of theses switches will typically alleviate any sticky, or stuck, feeling keys.
