As shown in the picture, each of the Microsoft Windows icons has a small icon in the bottom-left portion of the icon picture.
To hide this icon requires you install or have TweakUI on your computer. Once it has been installed on your computer, follow the steps below.
- Open TweakUI
- Click the + next to Explorer.
- Select Shortcut.
- In the Shortcut overlay, select None to use no overlay for any Microsoft Windows icons.
Following the steps listed below will arrange your desktop icons back into list format if they’re spread across your desktop.
