What you need

Step 1

              loosen the cover               
  • Make sure the jigsaw is unplugged.
  • Unscrew the bolt holding the guide plate to the jigsaw.
  • Unscrew the 10 screws holding the 2 frame halves together.

Step 2

              separate the 2 halves               
  • Separate the 2 halves by slowly prying them apart, going around the edges evenly.
  • When separated, take care of some loose parts.
  • The nut holding the guide plate bolt.
  • Piece of plastic holding some cables.
  • Metal strip pushing the blade back.

Step 3

              prepare to put the halves together               
  • Regardless of how the halves are separated, to put them back together, it is practical to put the saw blade mechanism in the halve with the rest of the parts.
  • Then, make sure the right parts line up and are fitted correctly:
  • The holes for the blade holder. The axis is located on the other halve.
  • The blade driver.
  • The blade guide.
  • The metal strip.

Regardless of how the halves are separated, to put them back together, it is practical to put the saw blade mechanism in the halve with the rest of the parts.

Then, make sure the right parts line up and are fitted correctly:

Step 4

              close it               
  • Now, add the empty halve on top of the halve containing the parts.
  • Screw everything back together.

Now, add the empty halve on top of the halve containing the parts.
