- Fill 3/4 of a large pot with water.

- Set the pot on a stove and let it reach boiling temperature.
- Caution: Be careful when handling boiling water since it can cause burns when handled incorrectly. Have an adult help you if needed.

- Carefully pour the boiling water into the bucket.

- Let the jump rope sit with the boiled water in the bucket for about 3 to 5 minutes.
- Remove the jump rope with a pair of tongs and place them on the ground.
- Let the jump rope cool down enough to handle but be sure that it is still warm.

- Find a circular object to wrap the jump rope around and slowly apply force to pull and hold it for about 2 minutes.
- Your jump rope should now be free of crinkles and be ready to use.
- If you still have some crinkles in the jump rope, feel free to stack weights on top of it and let it sit overnight, or follow the guide over again to get a more refined rope.
