  • Apply enough wood glue to cover the record’s surface.

  • Place the record on a record player, then turn on the record player so it rotates.
  • With a note card, apply the wood glue so that it covers the entire record surface.
  • Avoid getting glue on the record’s label, as this will damage the label once the glue dries.

  • Place a strip of tape on the wet wood glue.
  • This will act as a handle later to remove the dried wood glue.

  • Turn the record player off after you apply the wood glue.
  • Let the record sit for 12 hours to dry.

  • After 12 hours, check to see the wood glue has dried.
  • If it has dried, use the tape as a “handle” to peel the glue off.
  • If the wood glue is not yet dry, check back once every hour until it has dried.
