  • Remove all items from the freezer, including the freezer shelf.

  • Use a 6 mm Allen key to remove the two 6.0 mm screws securing the freezer’s interior back cover.

  • Gently pull the freezer’s interior back cover and set it face down on the bottom of the freezer.
  • It won’t completely come off since there’s a cable connected to the back cover.
  • Be careful not to dislodge any wires.

  • Check the ventilator’s compartment for frozen blockages.
  • You can use a flashlight for a better look, or fish something long and thin into the compartment; if it hits something, it’s because it’s blocked with ice.

  • Turn the hairdryer onto its “hot” or “warm” setting, then point it directly into the frozen ventilator’s compartments until the ice melts, clearing the vents.
  • Be careful not to overheat the surrounding plastic.

  • Replace the back cover.
  • Reinstall the two 6 mm screws with a 6 mm Allen key.
  • Replace the freezer shelf.

  • Reorganize the items in a way that doesn’t block the vent’s airflow.
