What is the most common problem when the recliner switch only works once and awhile? I took it all apart like you suggested but it still wont work. Is the switch on the side of the chair the most likely problem? How much does it cost to order a new switch from Steelcase?

Check the cables to the switch under the chair and make sure they are not frayed, and make sure it’s plugged into the motor.
