Introduction
Maintaining the filter is something that I do after every summer due to how often I use the lawnmower.
Steps 1,2,5, and 6 in this guide can also be used for removing or replacing the filter, as it will eventually wear down.
What you need
Step 1
Air Filter
- Make sure that the motor is off and has had time to cool after being used.
- Push in the clips on the top of the cover, and remove the cover.

Step 5
- Seat the filter in the same position you made a note of in Step 2.
- If the filter is still bent from cleaning it, lightly bend it in the opposite direction so that it can lay flat in your hand.
- Place the cover onto the air filter. This shouldn’t require any force, so the filter may need to be readjusted if it does require force.

- Push the clips of the cover in until they click.
- Check to make sure that the cover is secure, and there are no gaps for dirt or dust to get in.
