Note: Before resetting the device, you will need your device’s original factory’s preset user code. You can find this code either in the device’s user guide or on the back of the device’s inside cover. Steps 3-6 will show you how to do this without the user guide.

- Ensure the latch is retracted (not locked).

- Remove the battery cover by sliding the cover upwards.

- Using a Phillips #0 screwdriver, remove the bottom screw and top screw.

- Carefully remove the device from the door.

- Locate the programming code behind the alarm device.
- You will need the original factory’s preset user code (listed on the back of the device) for Step 12.

- Reattach the alarm device to the door by screwing the bottom and top screws.

- Disconnect the battery.

- Discharge residual electricity by pressing the exterior Schlage button three times on the keypad.

- Press the Schlage button and continue pressing while at the same time reconnecting the battery.
- You should see three green check marks on the lock’s face.

- Release the button and reattach the battery cover.
