Introduction
Before you begin, check what tuning your guitar is in because you want to make sure that you end up with the same tuning on all strings after finishing the restringing process. Also, you’ll need to match the previous gauge of the strings to your new ones, so it is important that the restringing is done with strings of the same gauge to avoid the bridge from loosing its position.
For step 3, I used a 9V battery to maintain the Bridge action. However, you can use any object that is almost close to the size and dimensions of a 9V battery.

Step 3
- Place a 9V battery (or similarly shaped object) in to the cut-out space under the bridge to hold the bridge steady.
- When the 9V battery is in its place, you can now let go of the tremolo (whammy bar) and the bridge will stay steady for the process.
