Many of our users have asked how to send a private message to their friends or content creators. Unfortunately, as of July 9, 2018, users can no longer send or receive private messages using the Creator Studio. As of September 18, 2019, the mobile app no longer supports messaging. YouTube representatives have cited lack of popularity as the reason for eliminating the messaging feature.
