  • Jiggle the water filter compartment while pulling it towards yourself to remove the compartment.

  • To open the water filter, move the knob to the left with your hand.
  • With your other hand, hold the bucket underneath the filter to capture the excess water.

  • Remove the water filter.
  • Clean hard-to-reach places in the filter with a toothbrush and excess water that was captured with the bucket.

  • Use the toothbrush to clean the slot in the washing machine where the water filter is inserted.

  • If a lot of lint or hair was cleaned out of the water filter, make sure to grab it with one hand as you drain out the water with the other hand.
  • Discard the lint and hair in the trash.
