  • Open the laptop and find the webcam located above the screen.

  • Use a prying tool to remove the front cover from the laptop.
  • Avoid using the metal spudger for this step. When used incorrectly, the metal spudger can damage the components in your device.

  • Using a Phillips #0 screwdriver, remove six 1.5 mm screws surrounding the screen.

  • Carefully detach the webcam using your fingers.

  • Detach the webcam pin connector and completely remove the webcam from the device.
