              Battery               
  • Slide the latch towards the center of the laptop so the unlock emblem appears.

  • Place your finger on the left latch and slide it towards the center of the laptop.

  • Pull on the battery to remove.

              Keyboard               
  • Remove the two 5 mm screws with the Phillips #00 screwdriver.

  • Using either a credit card or flat spudger, wedge it between the palm rest and the keyboard.

  • Using the tool of your choice, gently pry up on the top of the keyboard.

  • Release the top of the keyboard.

  • Remove the ZIF connector that connects the laptop to the keyboard cable.

              Keyboard Ribbon Cable               
  • Gently lift up on the ZIF connector.

  • Now remove the ribbon cable.

  • Check for visible damage on the ribbon cable such as folds, kinks, or corrosion.

  • Using your pencil’s eraser, gently clean the contact points on the ribbon cable.

my ribbon cable is old, and is not making any good contact, from many times that I have repaired the system, the ribbon cable started not making good contact, because it has inside damage, you know what I mean, it went back and forth many times and it does not want to make good contact, power stops at cable, not board connector
