Step 1

              Prepare your laptop               
  • Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
  • Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer
  • Disconnect all external devices from the computer.

Step 2

              Remove the bottom cover               
  • Turn the computer upside down on a flat surface.
  • Loosen the five captive screws.
  • Loosen the two inset captive screws.
  • Starting under the display, insert a case removal tool and lift the bottom cover of the computer.

Step 3

              Remove the battery               
  • Disconnect the battery cable from the system board.
  • Remove the five Torx T8 2.5×4.0 screws.
  • Rotate the top of the battery upward, and then lift the battery out of the computer.

Disconnect the battery cable from the system board.

Remove the five Torx T8 2.5×4.0 screws.

Rotate the top of the battery upward, and then lift the battery out of the computer.

To replace the battery & reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
