Introduction
The battery powers the device so that it can operate without an external power source.
To know if you have a faulty battery signs include: Fast loss of power, Does not power up, Fails to power on without external power source.
Before using this guide be sure to look at out troubleshooting page to ensure that the battery is the problem.
What you need

- Use the Phillips # 1 screwdriver to remove the five 1.2 mm screws from the back cover of the laptop.

- Remove the back cover to expose the hardware.

- Use your Phillips #1 screwdriver and remove the four 1.2 mm screws that secures the battery into place.
- Remove the connector that connects the battery to the motherboard.

Step 5
- Lift up the battery with you hands or tools.
