  • Remove the two screw covers located in the bottom corners of the screen and the 2.5 mm Phillips #0 screws underneath them.
  • If these screws are not removed and you separate the bottom portion of the screen, you will not be able to refasten the screen to the back because the screw tab will break.

Step 2

  • Only after removing the two bottom corner screws in Step 1, separate the screen from the back using an opening tool.

Step 3

  • Remove the two 2.5 mm Phillips #0 screws with a Phillips#0 Screwdriver.

Step 4

  • Detach the webcam from the damaged screen using spudger.
  • The regular black nylon spudger should be used whenever possible, especially around sensitive internal components.

  • Gently detach small white connector with spudger.

  • Gently remove the tape with the wire to completely separate the screen.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
