I recently replaced my front face plate on my Envy M6, which originally had one in a natural silver finish. I can confirm that the onyx black one works equally well. To think it was a Lithuanian part too. I completed the guide, but mistakenly forgot to reconnect the touchpad ribbon. But that’s my fault.
