If the device is hot and the fan is loud then the device is having trouble cooling itself down. This could be caused by several things. There is too much of an electrical load on the device, the cooling vents are clogged, or the fan is damaged and needs to be replaced.

The first thing to try would be reducing the load on your device. To do this close all tabs and applications that you aren’t using or that you don’t need to use. Once you have completed that give your device a couple of minutes to see if it has cooled down. If that didn’t work then the cooling vents might be clogged.

To check if the cooling vents are clogged you will need to follow these simple steps:

Step 1: Fully close your device and flip it so that the bottom if facing up.

Step 2: Then check near the upper half of the bottom panel for the cooling vents. Inspect the vents to see if they are covered in dust or anything else that might inhibit them from functioning at their full ability.

Step 3: To clean the vents you will need canned air and will have to spray it onto the vents in order to remove all of the blockages.

Step 4: Give the laptop a couple of minutes then see if it has cooled down. If the device is cooler but the fan is still loud there might be a problem with the fan.

If the device is cool but the fan is still loud, then you will need to replace the cooling fan. Follow this guide if you would like to replace the fan.

Videos are having problems displaying on your device. This can include distortion, discoloration, slowdown, stuttering, or a blank screen.

Some playback issues could be caused by the device operating at the wrong resolution. To see if this is the issue, go into the settings and select “system” and it should take you to the display section which has recommended resolution for your device.

Playback issues could be caused by outdated video drivers. Attempt to update the drivers by searching for “Device Manager” in the Windows Start Menu. Look through the list of devices and expand the “Display Adapters” menu. Next, right click “Intel(R) HD Graphics 620” and click “Update Driver.” A pop up menu should appear; click “Search automatically for updated driver software” and follow the on screen instructions.
