Battery
- Power off the laptop before trying to remove the battery.
- Turn the laptop upside down, and locate the sliding tabs on the battery.
- Slide both tabs in an inward direction, then slide the battery away from the laptop.

Screen
- Slightly tilt the screen downward.
- The screen is attached by internal clips and adhesive, which means that some force will be necessary for this step.
- Use the plastic opening tool to force the screen bezel from the screen.
- Locate the eight silver 2.9mm screws attaching the screen to the lid.
- Using a PH1 philips head screwdriver detach the screws.
