Laptop will not charge when plugged in to adapter.
If the device will only power up when it is connected via charging cable. Therefore, the issue is a faulty battery. You will need to replace the battery.
Ensure the charging cable is completely plugged in. If the device is still not charging, try a different cable. If neither charger is faulty, then the issue pertains to the laptop itself. If the laptop only charges when you re-adjust the connection on the portal or you apply pressure, then the problem is a faulty charger port. You will need to replace the charger port on the laptop.
The disc drive will not open or read the inserted disc.
Press the ejection button on the disc drive. After that, check to see if the indicator light activates. If it turns on, the drive is working properly. Moreover, there is something inside preventing it from opening. If there is a disc stuck inside, follow this guide to get the disc out.
Make sure there is nothing preventing the disc drive from opening. Press the eject button and see if the light indicator turns on. If the indicator does not turn on, the optical drive is faulty and needs to be replaced.
The Num-Lock keys are always on.
Check to see if the light indicator is on. If it is not activated, then the keyboard is faulty. If the Num-Lock indicator is on then the run registry is permanently on. Follow this guide on how to deactivate it.
Check to see that the mousepad is not off. Amber means that the touchpad is off. If amber is off then the touchpad is on. This feature is located on the top left corner of the touchpad.
Check to see if vent is clogged and that nothing is blocked it. You might feel that the computer is getting warmer than it usually does. Follow this guide on how to replace the CPU fan.
