The battery life of your device is shorter than advertised.
Your device isn’t able to stay charged longer than a few hours, this is caused by overcharging when the laptop is connected to the power adapter longer than necessary. Make sure not to use the lap top when it is charging and unplug when charging is complete.
The laptop isn’t charging at all, because the battery isn’t registering the need for charging. Make sure the battery power is at 0% before plugging in the charger. This will help to reset the battery. If this doesn’t work, you will need to replace the battery.
The battery is draining even when you are not using the laptop. This could be caused by the Wi-Fi capability being on and always looking for a connection. Turn off the Wi-Fi connection when it is not needed. If this doesn’t work you will need to replace the battery.
