  • Flip the laptop over so that the underside is facing you.

  • Using your hands, push the two tabs inwards to release the battery.
  • Remove the battery from the device.

              Back Panel
  • Remove eleven screws from the back panel.

              Fan
  • Use a Phillips #0 screwdriver to remove the single screw securing the fan to the motherboard.

  • Disconnect the fan wire carefully so that the fan is longer connected to the motherboard.

  • Remove the fan from the device.

              Hard Drive
  • Carefully detach the connector above the hard drive.
  • Remove the hard drive from the device.

  • Disconnect all of the cables attached to the motherboard.
  • Many of these wires are delicate so be careful when unplugging them.

  • Using a Phillips #0 screwdriver, remove eight screws from the motherboard.
  • Using the same screwdriver, remove four screws from the motherboard.

  • Gently lift and remove the motherboard from the device.
